The today's top posters section seems to have disappeared off the main menu page.
Was this done by design to speed loading times? Or just an error?
Or was it taken down on purpose to stop people posting any old thing, just to get on the list?

Surely nobody would do that, would they ?
Banning anyone who posts almost exclusively in the A-Z or other irrelevant threads would be a start, or preventing those threads adding to post counts.

Good move, should start to see an end to all the pointless 'yeah me too' posts ....now just lock the a-z of baseball caps or whatever this weeks is, and the world will be a good place again

im guessing that you have all asked to get these a-z threads and other threads removed? you have got a forum mod on this thread who agrees with what you are saying, so why dont you ask him or her if he or she can get something done about it, if thats what every1 wants, easy when you think about it. obviously its upsetting alot of people by having these a-z threads.

Removing the top poster has already had an impact.... yesterdays top poster was Rammy with only 24 posts.... Gone are the days when when we had a dozen posters with over 30 posts.

Whilst it was always amusing to view the Today's Top Posters list for a laugh to see who was racing who to the next milestone etc, its removal should hopefully discourage such as The Pink Panther to post in excess of 120 posts in a day - fuck's sake, that's more than some forum members BLINK in a day
I used to post in the A-Zs but it's nothing more than a building up of posts exercise as the same songs/countries/names etc keep on getting repeated ad nauseum nowadays. I can't understand the posts that simply say Couldn't agree more!, or She looks great tonight! or such, which are also a waste of time and space on the forum.
A bit more quality over quantity mightn't go amiss
