Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - TheDogg - 12-04-2011 23:52 After just seeing the Geri screenshots on Xtreme, its made me frustrated! Why can't you give us Babestation Xtreme on Sky?! Surely you'd get more customers if you did. Don't get logic behind not allowing Sky viewers to have it. What have Sky viewers done wrong to get this punishment. I want to get Babestation Xtreme! RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - dizzy_davidh - 13-04-2011 01:07 I do honestly think it is about time that a serious discussion is made on this very point (not comments like 'cos I want to see her naked') in an effort to weigh up the pros and cons of Babestation Xtreme being made available to Sky viewers so as to try to better sell the idea to the channel's management. I for one enjoy most of the babe channels on Sky but have never ever called one and never will as there is just too much porn freely available on the internet. That statement alone tells you that Xtreme not being on Sky means that the channel's owners are are missing out on a whole demographic of viewer. I too won't ever cough-up for a nightly show on Xtreme as it is just too expensive and sparse of content. I am not a marketing person or one who has studied media or any form of business at all but even I can see that there are some serious advantages to making moves into producing a Sky-based channel and very few disadvantages. Perhaps as I suggested a simple 'Pros & Cons' approach might start the discussion rolling? As I seen it at the moment a few might be (+\- to both Babestation Xtreme &\or the viewership); Pros: - Increased Audience (= increase in revenue) - Subscription service options (nightly via red button, monthly etc via DD\CC) - Increased presence of age verification due to integration with Sky systems - Pin-code options integrated with Sky systems rather than with free-view hardware vendors systems - guaranteed revenue from subscribers regardless of whether they watch (or call - as in the case of the free-to-air channels Cons: - (probably) a lot more admin for Management of the station (dealing with Sky etc.) - Subscriber services often require legal assistance (e.g. debt collection services for non-payment of subscription) One thing I'm sure that is a concern to the channel's management is their copyright of material they broadcast. Sure Sky has some countermeasures that can be used for this (e.g. you can't Sky+\ straight from Playboy\The Adult Channel anymore) but there are means to circumvent most copy protection schemes these days for any system such as free-view or Sky and 'so if you have the will you will find a way'. Copy protection is really a thing of the past as far as multimedia is concerned and so the easiest solution to the issue is to enforce it where possible and when you can't you have to let the lawyers sort it out. I really don't see the issue with being on Sky as it sounds like a savvy business idea to me and so I can only assume there are either some hidden issues or Babestation's management just plainly aren't interested in getting into that area of the market but suffice to say even though they haven't spent any money on the venture it is still costing them money as any missed opportunity means a loss of potential income. If you consider 1000 people like me who don't currently pay anything to Babestation, taking up a subscription for say £8 a month. That would net Babestation £96,000 a year regardless of whether we were to watch or not. Just how much would the channel cost to put on I wonder as the content is already there and they have an existing relationship with Sky, Ofcom etc. and so I do seriously wonder why a Sky-based Xtreme channel hasn't been forthcoming. Anyhow, that is all food for thought and hopefully the start of a good discussion. Cheers all. RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - sweetsugar007 - 13-04-2011 04:09 I think you will find this discussion has been done big style on the BSX thread. [split] On Babestation Xtreme tonight - Colmanjohn - 13-04-2011 16:49 Hi any chance of this channel eva been on sky? RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - Snooks - 13-04-2011 22:19 Immensely frustrating and annoying not having BS Xtreme on SKY. I would have purchased it loads of times given the opportunity . Ah well BS's loss not mine RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - SYBORG666 - 13-04-2011 22:54 Like sweetsugar007 said, this topic has been discussed before in multiple threads and looks like never coming to Sky. In my opinion, BS won't bring it to Sky probably for these reasons: 1) The liveshow format has been tried before on Sky and has failed. 2)Babestation is not prepared to take the gamble on it. 3)Sky probably charge a ridiculous fee for a EPG slot. If Babestation was prepared to take the gamble and give us a subscription option, I do actually believe BSXtreme would be more successful than the other attempts purely because of the quality of the girls they have on their books. Anyway, i'm not going to hold my breath. RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - Regenerated - 13-04-2011 23:06 This discussion has been had many a time on these forums. I will say that the quality of girls such as Karlie Simon, Camilla and Geri on screen, I believe it would pull in the punters. Unfortunately, I doubt Babestation will take the gamble. They could stand to lose an enormous amount of money if it fails. I would love to see it happen, but cannot in the near future any way. RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - jimmyt73 - 15-04-2011 21:36 it seems to me that the subscription idea on a monthly basis is a good idea, maybe they could extend the time of the naked babestation shows to most of the night seeing as how they already have the phone systems in place and it wouldnt mean filling the night with soft euro stuff which i assume is paid for or maybe set up a red button on epg906 for sky viewers. p.s as a footnote to this discussion maybe elite could set up a similar service that would be fantastic in my view RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - bongo3 - 20-04-2011 14:46 Realise I might be in a wimpish minority here, but I'm quite happy with the Freeview arrangement, basically because it means I can watch when I feel like it without my missus knowing/moaning (on financial rather than moral grounds). Also, since I only watch now and again and never Sunday to Thursday, because I have to get up for work, it works out cheaper for me than a subscription would. Plus Freeview picture quality is much better than Sky - mine is anyway. RE: Get BS Xtreme on Sky! - Anadin - 20-04-2011 21:04 I just want something online. Bypass all the restrictions. |
