Seve Ballesteros condition has worsen. in 2008 he collapsed in a madrid airport and it was discovered he had brain tumor.

R.I.P. Seve. A true ambassador of the game. Did more for European Golf than any other player. A true Ryder Cup Legend and we use that phrase too lightly sometimes....but not in this case.

He was one player who you would pay to see day in day out. Masterful short game. A legend is overly used term in this era. Seve was and still is a legend, R.I.P senor

I actually surprised myself just how upset I was this morning. Seve is simply the greatest figure on the history of European golf. A wonderful player to watch who inspired thousands, perhaps millions to take up the game (myself included), he single-handedly made the Ryder Cup exciting again. I don't think it's overstating it that if it hadn't been for him we wouldn't currently have three Europeans at the top of the World Rankings.
I said last week about Henry Cooper that the word legend is thrown around too easily, but Seve is another for whom no other word is sufficient. RIP senor. And thank you.
