I use scrot
Search for it in your package manager and install it.
Make up a small shell script to run it, and add the script as an application on the task bar. Remember to make the script executable first.

i.e. a script like this called capture.sh below

#!/bin/bash
scrot -s

Click on the taskbar application icon and then on a window to capture it
or
Click on the taskbar application icon and then select an area with your mouse to capture that.

Its easy to use. Type man scrot for more info

For non linux people, the man command shows the manual, and scrot is explained below

When you use wine for the first time after booting up your computer, it takes a few seconds to start. You might miss the screenshot you were trying to take.
There is no need to use wine if you have a native linux application that will do the job.
scrot does everything you need to take screenshot(s)
Also, not all windows applications will run with wine.
