New e-petition rules for Downing Street Website - Renfrew169 - 29-07-2011 01:24

As far as I can see, any e-petition on the Downing Street website which receives more than 100.000 signatures might result in the subject being debated in Parliament. What about trying to start a petition demanding a realigning of Ofcom's remit and to allow adult programmes to be broadcast without hindrance using some simple method to exclude minors.

I would be happy to front it but I don't think I am technically informed enough to determine what ought to be included in a petition.

Any interest in this idea in the forum? After all over a million views have been given in Bailey's thread! What is a mere 100,000 signatures?

An online petition is the only way to go because we cant really do a street protest nobody would turn up lol.

Good idea but can't see it getting more than 500 signatures.

Worth a try. Anything is better than just moaning and not actually trying to change the situation. Although as arron88 has said I think it will be a bit of a struggle to get 100k signatures.

I'll also sign it too, 2011 it's high time we had a change in the way the adult channels are regulated, for example things have got so out of control now that ofcom are constantly monitoring the channels and will act against any one of them even without a single complaint, I don't live in a democracy to see this kind of fascist bullshit go on. You cannot realistically run a babe channel with success under the code of ofcom and allowances should be made to make these channels exempt from this kind of heavy handed regulation, these channels have a purpose and they are not getting a chance to show their real potential.

Go for it, I will definitely sign it, and will get my mates to sign it too!! Good idea as well Smile

With the power of social networks as well, I think it will be easy enough to get 100,000 signatures.

Ofcunts are out of order, they can show two men in bed on the BBC, but can't have a babe in skimpy clothing.
