Red Light Central - Recording issues - Gold Plated Pension - 30-07-2011 00:20

I have just tried recording one of their shows on Sky and no recording can be made. Is anyone else having this problem and are RLC now imposing a complete moratorium on recording content.
Desperate times call for desperate meaures.

My stand alone hard drive recorder will not record channel 902 (Old Adult Channel) as the recording either stops, or it's unwatchable on playback. Channel 911 & 948 are fine. If I record direct to my PC using a capture card, then all channels record without any problems.

Whether there's some hidden signal still embedded in channel 902 as a left over from the Adult Channel, I'm not sure. But it would seem older hard drive recorders can't handle it. I get the same problem with some of the music channels as well.

It's Chatgirl on 901 I have trouble with. It's pointless me recording this show because without fail the playback will freeze up at some point along the way.

Yep... I haven't be able to record RLC since they put a copyright signal on their Sky channels annoyed....although some others have no problems!

There seems to be roughly a 50-50 split whether you can record the RLC channels or not , something strange is definitely going on here , at present i can record 902 OK and 5 mins of 911 before i get a copy protected message , i cannot record 948 at all , "aceman69" is the total opposite to me , he can record 911 and 948 OK but not 902 , "stilletos" and others have no problems whatsoever , there must be some sort of glitch in the Satellite signal somewhere , if RLC are sending out some sort of copyright signal then surly no one would be able to record the channels at all . i think some one from RLC needs to come on here and explain what is going on , if they are supposed to be preventing people from recording the tv channels then they are not doing a very good job because some people can still record the channels .

This is interesting. Can I just confirm that you're all talking about Sky+ when you say you can't record certain channels?? Surely if this is the case, then they must be breaking some kind of regulation because that's precisely what Sky+ is intended for?? What right to they have to stop you recording their show??

What gives with the recording blocking signals on some of the Sky channels? I was able to record Tee-Jay's tease hour last night on Sky, but couldn't record her 5.30 am shift this morning. I switched to Freeview and recorded the exact same stream no problem. Seems a bit pointless really Wink
