IPOD Help - dalebags - 02-02-2009 22:37

Alright guys, Im having a bit of bother with my IPOD .Im trying to connect my xbox 360 to it so I can play my music on it- I have a speaker dock but ive got dolby surround and BOSE speakers on my tv and it will sound much better on this.

Ive downloaded the update on xbox live but when I put the ipod on it just says do not disconnect and the media on the 360 doesnt highlight the portable device and I cant get it. Ive been all over the 360 website and the net and cant find a solution.Even youtube doesnt have anything so I thought that why not ask some of the great tech guys on here as you are so good at putting lovely ladies on here.

A big rep point and thanks willcome from me if you can help

Which model/version do you have?

The reason I ask is if you have a iPod touch unfortunately it does not work with the 360.

If you have a 'classic' iPod, all I can suggest is clearing the cache on the 360 and re-download the update. Google 'How to clear the cache on Xbox 360' for the button sequence.

I would post the sequence myself, but I am posting from my phone and it is rather difficult to copy and paste!

Hope that helps.

Hi Anon, Ive tried that as well - will give it another go. Im not technical by any means and I was searching and found something that says the latest firmware updates for the ipod may not work with the 360 (i.e latest software for ipod). This is pish -microsoft let you use the ipod as they have a specific download but Apple are really being petty if this is the case.

Still looking though- if anyone else can help that would be great

reppoint to anon for trying
