6. Patrick Vieira - 82

Honourable mentions
- Roy Keane, who is 11th on 71 bookings.
- Richard Dunne (20th on 66 bookings), Duncan Ferguson (=94th on 37 bookings) and Patrick Vieira top the 'red card' league with 8 each.
- Lee Cattermole, whose 50 bookings in 151 matches give him the lowest appearances-to-bookings ratio in league history.
Kevin Davies is unique among the top 20 in that he is a striker, whereas the rest of the 20 are defenders and midfielders. The second worst-behaved striker is Wayne Rooney with 65 bookings.
