Elite TV - Connection Charge - warpigs776 - 19-09-2011 13:25

Has anybody else noticed that Elite TV now charge a £2 connection fee as well as being £1.53 per min. Its so small on the tv screen its missable. I only noticed while on the web site.
Any one else think this is a bit over the top? thanks Sad

I can't say I noticed that until now. bladewave Could cause some problems with people getting cut off several times before the get through. Certainly if their going to get charged £2 a time for the privillage. Rolleyes

That's a relief because when I call occasionaly I use landline but it needs to be put on the site more clearly saying it only applies to mobiles because it is misleading, also annoying why did they have to change the old credit card paying option? with this voipay thing when you do add your credit and call it mutes the sound of the onscreen girls when you get through and that's not very good! and also it used to be £1 a minute if you paid by credit or debit card making it a bit cheaper Cool

Seems to have changed since then as just looked at the website and it mentions the £2 connection charge for Mobiles and landlines.According to the website, Calls to 09 Numbers from a BT Landline cost £1.53/min + £2 connection

Sport used to charge £4.50 so I hope for the sake of all Elite callers that they don't follow suit.

the stricter the rules get the less callers phone in so they have to make up the difference some how... it is a pisstake though...

The £2 'connection charge' (sic) is actually taken AFTER your phone call

Quote:Thanks for calling us girls at Elite TV. We really hope you enjoyed yourself. Be sure to call us again soon Wink Xxx You have been charged £2. Elite TV.

As I have only seen a handful of their shows over the last 2 months I'm not sure what has changed over this period of time for Elite to justify this additional charge, especially when you consider that they and Babestation seem to be the only channels to have it.

Is it just another case of these two channels (who coincidently are the two main channels whose shows resemble an insipid and monotonous infomercial for overpriced picture/video services) milking their customers for all their worth.? bladewave

More importantly, how are they allowed to get away with it? Huh

The pre-recorded message is also longer now as well. bladewave
