RIP Graham Dilley - rickhardo - 05-10-2011 12:36 Really sad to hear the news of Graham Dilley's death at the age of 52. A terrific fast bowler for England, he played a vital role in the classic 1981 Headingley Test with a brilliant innings in support of Botham. A sad loss. RE: RIP Graham Dilley - Charlemagne - 05-10-2011 12:38 I've just heard the news on the radio... Very sad news indeed. He was a good bowler for England and a very good first class cricketer who played in a relatively leaden era for England. His work as a coach after his retirement from the game and some personal difficulties also needs to be acknowledged. A sad loss. RE: RIP Graham Dilley - Boomerangutangangbang - 05-10-2011 16:01 One of my fave bowlers,a smooth run-up & a classic bowling action. The unmistakable mop of blonde hair.I believe one of his nicknames was Picka.R.I.P. RE: RIP Graham Dilley - Forum Style - 05-10-2011 16:04 So many good memories of one of my favourite bowlers, I even used to copy his bowling action at the local park. Great shame. |
