top gear usa is apparently meant to be rubbish has the 3 presenters are trying to copy the jezza, cpt slow and hamster.

An American version of a British show "rubbish"? Well, who would've thunk it, eh?

RE: Top Gear USA - skully - 15-10-2011 16:39

It was a typical American copy, nothing original. 3 presenters, a Stig, a celeb going around a track in a shite car, even the set was a clone of ours. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but could have been so much better.

RE: Top Gear USA - Pyro - 15-10-2011 18:18

I watched it last night and it's virtually the carbon copy of our Top Gear, nothing orginal about the American version and the test track was little bit on the cheap side but the show was okSurprised Lets hope they have a show down with Jeremy, Hamster and May like we did with the germansBig Grin

RE: Top Gear USA - iloveellajolie - 17-07-2012 19:53

i must admit that after watchin the first few series of the usa version of top gear it seems to be almost a carbon copy of the british version with the same challenges only in the u s of a ,but as it goes the british version usually the best has been goin downhill over past few series and runs are gettin shorter ,seems to be more pc than normal think jezza has finally been brought into line (pity) please bbc get the best car programme on tv back to the way it was

I can't understand why there has to be a separate series? There is also a 'Top Gear Australia' which bears a remarkable similarity to the UK and USA versions.

Just have the original version with Jezza, Captain Slow and The Hamster and show the programmes in these other countries.
