Smoking Ban In Car - Scottishbloke - 16-11-2011 20:03

Doctors are pushing the Government today to ban all smoking in cars, are you in favour of it, as a smoker myself I find this to be bullshit, what next I won't be allowed to even smoke in my own house bladewave
I have allways had the coutesy to not smoke in the company of non smokers out of respect but I'm against this becoming law. Your thoughts Cool http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-15744352

I don't smoke, but if I am in someone else's house or car and they smoke, then tough for me.

RE: Smoking Ban In Car - Money_Shot - 16-11-2011 20:17

It is absolute shite! I can kind of understand it now, in hindsight (although I was fucked off for a very long time) why they banned it in pubs and clubs etc. I would actually find it very hard to go back to how it was. It seems so long a go.

However, if I want to smoke in my car then so be it. No one will stop me and I will take being pulled over, fined whatever! Fuck that, this is the exact type of bullshit country we live in. People say it is a free country. Bollocks, it is a dictatorship. We're told every fucking day what we can and can't do. They had more freedom in Afghanistan/Iraq yet they went and blew the shit out of them for living under a dictatorship.

surely they want the law to mirror the mobile phone law i.e if your pulled over or parked then smoke away but not while driving. smoking while driving can be quite difficult if your not experienced at both. but to ban ALL smoking in cars is a fucking joke!

RE: Smoking Ban In Car - Money_Shot - 16-11-2011 20:23

Further more it is complete fucking shit what that report is saying. Filling your car up with petrol you breathe in more fumes and chemicals then in cigarettes. Swimming pools contain chlorine, if you swim for an hour it'll burn your lungs more then 20 cigarettes will. Walking down a fucking road you breathe in more shit then off a cig. Sitting in a car without a smoker your still breathing in more shit then if you were outside!!!! Jesus fucking Christ.

Fucking ban it completely or not at all. It is the hypocrissy of it that winds me up most. The Government will happily take your tax money for buying smokes, but you can only smoke them when and where we tell you. Fuck you you spineless Kunts!

I could understand that if they brought in the law on behalf of safety reasons. Given that you're no longer allowed to eat in a car, or drink any type of drink whilst driving, and obviously the mobile phone law as well. But on the basis that the "report" is giving is absolute shite. Ban cars I say, they're more harmful then any fucking cigarette I've smoked! While we're at it, ban food from fat people because they're a danger to society as well. annoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyed

I hoped someone would start a thread on this topic. I am a smoker and am totally against the idea. As other people have said, this is an infringement on our right of choice. My understanding is that the idea came from the British Medical Association. Well, if they are that bothered about the harmful effects of smoking, they should get off their collective ar**s and find a cure for cancer!!! They might have better luck than those ineffective, money-grabbing incompetents at Cancer Research UK !!!

As someone who donates to Cancer Research i find that most offensive, not to say fucking ignorant,i dont care if you smoke in your car,i have had numerous members of my family die from four types of Cancer,i suggest you go and spend a few weeks at The Marsden and see the good work those money grabbing incompetents do,you have no idea obviously what is happening to your insides, one day you will be grateful to the so called incompetents.annoyed

While I am, of course, sorry to hear about your family members dieing of cancer, that was not my point. Cancer Research and it's predecessers have had over 50 years and who know how many billions of pounds to find a cure for cancer and the best thing they've been able to come up with is chemo-therapy which poisons the body - as I'm sure you know from your own experience. Well come on, how much more are they going to want and for how much longer!!!!
