Edit - AKA - The Scottish Winds. Having seen other footage and pictures from the north I thought I'd change the Subject to 'Wild Winds" ....

I've been watching / reading the carnage caused by the winds in Scotland this evening and it looks insane. Buildings ruined, cars ruined, lorrys blown over, buses blown over, tree blown down, fences destroyed.

Also now Police are advising people in Scotland not to travel, as winds from 80mph and up to 165mph have left more than 30,000 people without power.

Let's hope our Scottish posters are doing okay and aren't to badly effected.

terence - you're right mate, I didn't think of the NI or others up in Cumbria and other places up that way. I naively saw Scotland and assumed everywhere else was okay.

It is pretty windy down in the south but nothing like what I've seen. I just hope no one gets seriously hurt by it.

Yes, even down here in Southend, Essex, the gusts of wind are causing minor problems. Nothing on the level I've seen above though.
