A house was dismantled yesterday and a 40 strong group of doctors, paramedics, fire crews, council workers and scaffolders worked to free Georgia Davis, one of the fattest people in Britain.

I'd like to know what people think about this story. I was horrified when I heard about it. No, not horrified, I was sickened. I was sickened that a human being could actually eat so much they need a fucking team of people to get them out of bed!

This might offend some people, and I don't mean to, I just share a difference in opinion but the girl should be put down. She has no life and she is massively over weight and will be a constant drain to the health service until she dies.

All I hear are people saying that the authorities have let her down. Bollocks, when a smoker dies, no one blames the authorities, they blame the person. They know the risks. When someone over doses on smack they don't blame the authorities, they blame the "drugs culture" and jail dealers.

She went to America (at the expense of the tax payer, again) a few years back to go to a fat boot camp, shed a lot of weight but has since piled it all back on.
She eats 7 times the recommended allowance a day and consumes around 13,000 calories a day.

This whole operation will cost upwards of £100,000 and then cost more and more as the years roll on.
That is a waste of £100,000 + IMO. That money would be better spent on a piece of equipment in a baby ward , towards a life support machine, given to a terminally ill child who didn't bring on health problems themselves due to being greedy.

The harsh reality is, if you had a dog that got so fat the vet would put it down, yet this girl needed her house smashed down to get her out... bladewave

While i am in total agreement with you on this her mother must take a fair portion of the blame for the state she is in. I remember watching the programme and when she returned from the USA the first thing her mother did was buy her fish and chips. All those people giving her junk food and sugary drinks need to be prosecuted for abuse or at least made to foot the bloody bill.

Yes and no.

Sure the mother certainly does need to take her fair share of responsibility. It is disgusiting that parents could stand by and watch their own child become so obese.
I haven't seen her mother however, so I'm not even aware what weight or shape she is in. Though I did read that her parents were sick and she was a carer. Yet it said it took her an hour to walk across the landing?!

I've no doubt people have stood by and let this happen when they could of been doing something to help. However suggesting that people outside of her family who gave her junk food need prosecuting is a little unfair. She made the choice to eat/drink the junk food. No one force fed her. I can't believe her friends and family were so un-supportive to let it get this far.

Bet thats the first time she's had her back door smashed in Wink

Seriously though, how can somebody have so little self control and discipline that they get like this?
