Farnborough Airshow - Money_Shot - 04-07-2012 10:16

I don't know if anyone is into planes or aviation but the Farnborough air show is back! 14-15 July the doors will open to the general public to view this air show spectacular!

I work right next to it so on tea breaks and lunch breaks I get a glimpse of some of the planes practising. It really is a fascinating show with planes and jets performing all sorts of stunts.

I can appreciate where you're coming from mate. As I live 4 miles from the airshow I can safely say I'm glad when it's done. Seen it once, seen it a thousand times syndrome springs to mind. The noise is deafening. The local council dishes out free tickets for local residents who might be effected by the show, however I'm outside that catchment area! annoyed Some free ear plugs would be nice though.

It is pretty insane some of the things they do with these planes, so would recommend anyone who might be interested to go though.

I can remember attending the Farnborough Airshow in 1970 when Concorde make it's first appearance at the show. If memory serves me correctly I think it just flew past at a very low level.
