Is it not just a case of deleting it from your C drive and programme files ? I've no idea. I'm just glad any Windows OS no longer have IE as the main internet programme because it's utter dross!

Go Mac and have a peaceful existence!

A lot depends on your windows version.
In the past I always used 98lite/XPlite with great success http://www.litepc.com
Unfortunately its a paid app, but they also do IEradicator for 98/ME/2000 as freeware

Apparently there is an option already in win7 allowing IE to be removed.

If you're feeling more adventurous, you could try something like nLite to build a customised install disk without IE and re-install using that :

rather than remove it, have you considered just not using it, binning the icon from your desktop along the way...... cant see any issues with leaving it installed and just not using it....??? is that too simple a suggestion..??? i use either chrome or firefox, and never use ie, but have no desire to remove it just in case.
