No Rob Green, but Ashley Young is the surprising omission. 15 of the 23 who went to the Euros have been picked.

The England squad includes 6 players from Chelsea including no less than 4 Chelsea defenders.

Ashley Young's omission from the squad is down to injury.

A convincing 5-0 win for England against Moldova last night, but to put it into perspective Moldova are ranked 48th out of the 53 teams in Europe. England did have 9 absentees through injury though.

England's achievement in scoring 5 goals against Moldava should not be underestimated, as Moldava had previously gone 52 matches without conceding more than 4. In fact in those 52 matches they had conceded 4 goals in just 3 of them.

Before Moldova the last time England scored 5 goals in an away match was in a 5-1 win in Germany in 2001.

Theo Walcott has been ruled out of the Group H encounter due to illness. And Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge is also ill but could still recover for the Tomorrow's qualifier against Ukraine at Wembley.

Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana and Jake Livermore have been called up as replacements.

Jamaica have also been after Raheem for their national team.

hodgson is hypocrit and has double standards he picks carrick who refused to be part of the back up team to the euro 2012 23man squad but wont pick crouch who did the same has carrick. also what its worse was that hodgson said he will never pick those that refused to be part of the back up squad for the euros.

Carrick has since asked to be considered. Crouch hasn't. That's the difference.
