Please note that 'Negative (-1)' has been removed as an option from the reputation system. This is the case for all forum members.
The positive and neutral options still remain. Any member that uses either of these options to make comments that are abusive or insulting, or to make snide remarks at or about another person (whether it be the person you're rating, or another forum member), will risk losing their ability to use the system.

ah that explains why my rep score has shot up by 5 this morning. do think its a good idea removing the negative bit for the reasons you say skate

Unfortunately, while the negative rep function may have once served a minimal purpose, its regular misuse by a minority of members, to leave exceptionally abusive comments or to engage in regular 'off-forum' spats, has led to this. While I wouldn't ever argue that the system had a 'point', I'm quite happy for that minority to now view the system as pointless.

It's caused more trouble than it's worth. So many have got hung up on "obtaining" reps that they've completely forgotten the reason why the forum exists. The "thanks" option is the best measure of anyone's contribution in my honest opinion.

All depends what actually constitutes 'abuse'. I mean, some babes have previously labeled forum members calling their shows 'boring' as being abusive.
As always, if you want to see real abuse in regards to the babes and channels, then look no further than Twitter or Facebook.
