Our friend Stan seems to have been banned! I shall miss him on this forum - an outspoken individual who started a lot of good discussions.
I wonder what finally finished him?

I doubt we'll ever find out what was the last straw. A shame. Not everyone liked his views or opinions, but no one can deny he said exactly what he thought.

He knew the rules, if a mod removes a post you don't repost it. According to my email notifications, he reposted the comment 3 times.

Yes it's always sad to see an established forum member either leave or to see them being banned, well Stan he wasn't exactly everybodys cup of tea. Some issues I would agree with him on, ie - ofcom, other issues I wouldn't. But I suppose at the end of the day if this forum didn't have rules in place then it would end up being a shambles.
I've had posts deleted in the past, but I just accept it and move on. The best piece of advice I could give to anybody so as to not suffer the same fate as Stan is that rather than repost what obviously didn't sit well with the mods is to simply send a PM to one of them asking for clarification.
Sometimes you will agree with the reasons for the removal on the post, other times you won't but you should never ever under any circumstances ignore the fact that if a mod has forbidden the post just to carry on regardless. Personally speaking I hope that Stan's ban isn't permanant.
