RE: Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 - *Kal-El* - 11-09-2013 18:26

Just been trying the demo now the game is stunning, the graphics are a massive jump from the previous games so much so that the character models look real even the people in the crowd all look solid and real instead of card board cut outs of previous football games. The controls are smooth, with just the right amount of pace on the ball gone is the ball sticking to the players foot and it really does feel like your playing a game real football and that your actually using skill to beat players, also the dribbling is amazing the game is a little harder as it plays like nothing like the previous games so it takes a while to get used too. You can actually use your weight to hold the ball once you have it or use it tackle and get the ball back. There were one or two glitches with the demo bare in mind like Fifa 14 there early builds of the game as far back as 6 months ago so the finished product will be smooth. The game for is very impressive its all done to the brand new Fox engine which will be next seen in the Metal Gear Solid 5 game. There will be downsides with the game with not having the full football licenses and the commentary isn't as good as the Fifa game, but all in all am very very impressed with game Smile.

Agree the game is great, i play both fifa and pes demo and pes is 10 times better, all fifa 14 is is a copy of 13 with new kits and jeff stelling introducing games, PES has CL licence, Europa league licence, AFC Champions league, Copa Libatadores, Copa Sudamericana, it has new leagues, Chilean league and Argentinian league and also can change the conmentary in the full game Smile

I just give united a good beating with Santos! Smile I dont know what is up with Rafael and Fabio for United, they have dreadlocks and look nothing like, every other players are spot on, do they still make changes before release?

There probably will be changes as there demos are usually at least 4 - 6 months old. So it will a little different in its final version of the game.

Good game but it feels so unfinished, not enough stadiums, and many of the players do not have real faces unlike pes 2013 which had almost all, also the data pack is broken and cant download it and the transfers are all out of date...

Hard to fault the game play but the interface has a very dated, unpolished feel to it and it does take quite a while to load matches. The kits are not very accurate and why they chose the annoying Jim Begin as co-commentator is beyond me. An OK player, a poor pundit and a terrible in game commentator of whom you soon tire of - time to adjust the sound options. Still all these gripes are minor as the actual matches are a pure joy, especially when you lob a cross into the penalty area and watch Van Persie volley it into the back of the net Big Grin

Does it not bother you they could not be bother to make hardly any player faces, rafael for example look like bob marley, Lavezzi has a goatee and long hair, Witsel has a shave head, Hulk look like carlton banks, Djibril Cisse ect just random models with no likeness, Pretty lazy if you ask me, lets the game down big time, the demo looked very promising and i thought they would have improve greatly but it's like a 75% finish game and release in a hurry, Also I find it very easy even on top player, think I will be buying fifa afterall

PES actually plays pretty well and is enjoyable BUT it looks like a PS2 game. Big Laugh Don't like the graphics at all. Certain visuals do look ok but many look horrible.
