Jessica Ennis-Hill will not be competing at the championships after failing to overcome an achiles injury. she has the made the right decision has she has got the europeans and commonwealth games.

Yes its a sensible decision based on long term fitness and goals.
The Commonwealth and European Golds are very worthy targets for her and she has at least a couple more World title shots left in her anyway.
Needs to let her achilles problem settle down and recover in good time.

6 medals achieved overall which was about in line with what was expected.
Mo Farah with a 5k and 10k gold, Christine Ohorougu with gold in the 400m while there were bronze medals for Tiffany Porter in the 100m hurdles and for both of the ladies relay squads.
