we can completely edit them but we cant erase them. seems wierd

You can delete your own posts after the first one in a thread (within a time limit, I think), but deleting threads is restricted to senior mods and administrators. I think that's purely to stop other members losing posts if someone starts a thread then changes their mind about it...

nobody replied to this thread though. i posted a youtube link thinking it was quite funny. it was just their april fools joke.
