This may become news, or may turn out to be a load of cobblers, but I heard a rumour from an insider, that Vodafone are about to buy VirginMedia, with the official announcement due this coming week.
Word is that Virgin is losing money hand over fist as it tries to compete with Sky, and now BT are muscling in on the tv side of it's business as well.
This would be quite a departure for Vodafone from it's traditional mobile business.
