"Undefined" PM's - hung-elgin08 - 23-11-2013 20:27

Can anyone help me. Every time i try send a PM it sends with "undefined" instead of my message. Can anyone help?

It's a problem with javascript - perhaps the java you have is incomplete or outdated or you have some incompatible java addons. I suggest that you download the latest version of java and see if that solves the problem. Also maybe check that you haven't got any java addons that you haven't specifically asked for and if so delete them.

Why not try it with another browser because then you could see whether the issue you have is browser related.

There is an ongoing issue with Firefox and bbcode. If you are using bbcodes in FF, it sets them as 'undefined'.

If you are using FF, make sure you aren't using any bbcodes in the PM, not even quoting any original message you may be replying to, and see if that works. Or alternatively, as suggested above, try another browser, I'd recommend something like Chromium.

i tried another browser and it seems to work. Thanks guys, im useless with things like this

The forum's BBcode stopped working for me some time ago with firefox.
I have to manually enter the code as shown below to make text bold or coloured.

e.g. bold text is entered as
Code:
[b]bold text[/b]

and coloured text is entered as
Code:
[color=#ff0000]coloured text[/color]
