Was the punishment given to Luis Suarez fair? - lovebabes56 - 25-06-2014 08:47 (23-06-2014 22:30 )whorelover Wrote: I hate the adverts on ITV.....till I see Sturridge advertising Subway Wonder if Suarez will get first bite at this advert if offered? RE: Football Banter - bytor - 26-06-2014 15:43 They should make Suarez stay at Liverpool. That would be ample punishment RE: Football Banter - bytor - 26-06-2014 15:44 [attachment=62089] Obviously not a company to pass up an advertising opportunity lol RE: Football Banter - Rammyrascal - 26-06-2014 15:47 suarez should have got banned for a lot longer, perhaps even a life ban RE: Football Banter - bytor - 26-06-2014 16:28 (26-06-2014 15:47 )Rammyrascal Wrote: suarez should have got banned for a lot longer, perhaps even a life ban A life ban would be a bit too harsh. He should have received a longer ban for sure, perhaps a full season without pay....and compulsory attendance with a behaviourist in order to try and cure his nibbling habit. Being serious it is a shame to see him let himself and his country down. The guy is so talented but has marred his reputation for good around the world. As soon as he did it he had a look that said, "oh ffs what have I just done". RE: Football Banter - brummie - 26-06-2014 16:41 Ridiculous, FIFA has absolutely no credibility any more. It is after all the THIRD offence.I'm sorry but while everybody deserves a second chance Suarez has already abused two chances and now has got away with a third. 12 Month ban from fotball should have been the absolute MINIMUM and a life ban is not out of the question. Second successive world cup he has ended in disgrace after the handball on the line against Ghana in 2010. RE: Football Banter - lovebabes56 - 26-06-2014 17:23 IMO in part the ban is meaningless if he doesn't play competitively in July (and Uruguay want to boycott next game) Yet Liverpool still have to pay him his wages which is financially hard on the club RE: Football Banter - Fernandez Esperenda - 26-06-2014 18:55 Banning him from playing for Liverpool is ridiculous, harsh on the club, was nothing to do with them, Yes ban him from Uruguay for 2 years or something I can understand that, But instead of just punishing players FIFA should be getting players with issues the professional help they need... End of the day it was a bite.. wrong yes, but more dangerous things happen on the pitch, Song should be banned from Barcelona too if that's the case, what if he had broken the players back with his elbow smash... Has Luis Suarez been fairly punished? - cosmonaut - 26-06-2014 21:16 What is your opinion of the punishment given to Luis Suarez by FIFA for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini? Was it fair? RE: Has Luis Suarez been fairly punished? - TickleTheOrc - 26-06-2014 21:28 Could have been harsher, but seems fair so far. Still surprised it is his third incident though and now he gets the big slap down. Guess he was expecting a small slap on the wrist again. |
