TV versus Webstreams - Goodfella3041 - 24-02-2015 21:13 Apologies if such a poll has been run before. I raised this question in another thread so I figured I might as well run the poll myself. The reason for asking is to see how prevalent TV still is as a medium for Babeshow 'consumption'. My worry is that as more and more people switch from TV to streaming, then the babeshows could become an unsustainable format. Any thoughts? RE: TV versus Webstreams - M-L-L - 24-02-2015 21:43 for the last year it's mostly webstream for me. Mainly because Freeview reception has been too unreliable, but also because when I do watch BSX I tend to do that on the web, despite the stream quality sometimes being terrible. If I had Sky it would probably still be by TV - cos I think I would prefer to just record the really late at night/early morning stuff and watch it back at a more convenient time, and have the option to keep some recorded stuff on HDD or burn to disc. Not the channels' ideal customer I suspect ! Yes OK there are big OSGs on TV but the picture quality is usually better. I think I am of a generation that tolerates the internet but really still deep down wants to watch stuff on TV and not bother with all this streaming, VOD and other computer bullshit. Spend long enough looking at computer screens all day at work ! RE: TV versus Webstreams - jimmyt73 - 24-02-2015 21:47 Personally i prefer tv as the internet signal where i live is quite bad,so watching a webshow would be too much of a lottery, also although the tv content is always going to be weaker at least i can view on a big screen through a Sky+ box that hardly ever loses its signal,as to whether the shows will remain on tv,i think they probably will but there may be fewer of them, some channels have already reduced the number of feeds televised and thanks to a mixture of regulator fear, feed cut backs and lack of available suitable staff, have started to effectively slowly kill off the proper nightshows that even with the victorian style regulations they should be doing alot more of,in summary it looks to me as although there will always be a babeshow of some sort on tv,with the continuing trend towards the webshow there will probably only be enough demand for two operators in the not too distant future,as to which two it would be,personally im not sure so its over to the bosses now to see who can survive what is a continually diminishing televisual genre. RE: TV versus Webstreams - mrmann - 24-02-2015 22:44 Streams. I used to watch from the TV and the stream at the same time lol, but I don't have SKY anymore, so I watch off the computer. No OSG's, and I can view a few different channels at once RE: TV versus Webstreams - Bandwagon - 24-02-2015 23:00 TV only for me, if one of my favourites are on I like to fill that screen up and have a good butcher's! Also I just find it easier because you can have tits on screen in seconds from a standing start. The only time I'll go online is if there's nothing worth watching, which happens quite alot just recently if I'm honest. I use my smart phone to check in on this forum, and use a tablet (bigger screen) for viewing porn etc with the TV on in the background just to keep checking in on proceedings. I tend to take the view that if I have to bother with the tablet at all, then I might as well make it worth my while and will generally opt for the harder stuff. RE: TV versus Webstreams - HannahsPet - 24-02-2015 23:30 to be honest its a mixture for me. mind you I dont really watch the shows live anymore usally record channels that girls i like are more likely to be on. More than usual its BS or RLC channels i record. cos i know i can get copys of s66 shows from other sites or i will download the recorded stuff on here that goes on my home network so can play it on most devices in my house. RE: TV versus Webstreams - Kenny76 - 25-02-2015 05:27 I mostly watch the babe channels through the web as I don't have sky any more. Only problem I find is the annoying timing out after 10mins for both BS & S66tv, even worse on RLC there 60 secs timing out grrrr RE: TV versus Webstreams - HannahsPet - 25-02-2015 05:57 do you know that the guys who dont have sky anymore but have the equipment you can still watch the channels using the skybox only thing is you wont be able to use the sky+ and other features RE: TV versus Webstreams - BaddaBing - 25-02-2015 18:46 As a Virgin Media customer I've always had to watch via the webstreams which, quality wise, are so much better now than they used to be RE: TV versus Webstreams - Tractor boy - 25-02-2015 19:05 I use both TV and web but as I live in the sticks my internet speed is pretty ropey. If and when I get superfast Usain Bolt broadband I would probably do most of my viewing online but I still think the picture quality on TV is better though but as I don't have Sky I get far more of a choice on the web and as I have a unlimited web package it makes sense to use it. |
