And the match is being sponsored by Hardys Australian wines. bladewave
So I'm going to sit down and watch the cricket with a glass of Boddingtons

And the top order collapses: 30 for 4. More calls for KP no doubt!

England ended the day at 354 for 7, with Buttler being given out LBW off the last ball of the day

Why is Moeen at 8??? He bats no lower than 3 for worcestershire... opens in one dayers... fucks sake.. the hundred he got last year was pure grit, technique and class. He should be in the team as a top 6 batsman who if a second spinning option. To make him the number one spinner and demote his batting can only hurt his confidence.

England didn't bat for too long today, only adding 35 to make a total of 389 all out. I'm not sure I understand the promotion of Stokes to bat at No. 6, even if he did make 92 yesterday and was part of the stand which brought England back into the match from 30/4.

End of 2nd days play. New Zealand trail England by 86 runs with 8 wickets remaining

cook needs to de-captained for his own good, lyth needs time, the bowlers are fecking useless no intensity aggression. I wish we could get a time machine and get the 2005 pace attack of jones, harmy, hoggie and Freddie. the middle is the only world class section of the team.

Wood had good pace and will improve... Stokes brought aggression, but seems to be cursed by people dropping off his bowling and miss fields... Moeen is a fantastic second spinner... Without swing Anderson is now an 80mph non threat... Broad who as Warne correctly says has boosted his figures with tail end wickets thinks he bowls 90mph + but instead puts down either pathetic short balls that sail over the head of the batsman or 4 balls...

When England bowl I am always amazed that we have a bowling coach... overcast morning, Lords, new ball, heaven forbid we pitch the ball up.

Anderson and Broad with the new ball against Harris and Johnson, Steyn and Morkel, Boult and Southee... embarrassing
