DepositFiles Issues ? - Robot Devil - 07-07-2015 14:59

I guess the title sums it up. Anyone else unable to D/L via DF at the moment ? Seems to have been playing up for the last hour or so. Is this routine ?

I haven't downloaded much in the last few weeks from DF, but I have had periods of several hours where it looks like the site has crashed for me, but when checking http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ the site was working, but just messed up at my end. It's fine now though.

Clicking on some Depositfiles links this afternoon brings up a Google Safe Browsing screen - as someone has reported the site for phishing (perhaps many people.)

As far as I can tell, this is a false report. Aside from uploading hundreds of videos there, I have occasionally downloaded stuff without incident (as recently as last week.)
There are some of the increasingly prevalent intrusive ads on the site - earlier upon loading a depositfiles page a load of German audio started playing, with no apparent picture or video causing it. I'd suspect shit ads like that as being the cause of the site being reported.

Anyone wanting to get past the security screen - click "details" at the bottom-left of the screen, then "Visit this unsafe site"
Unless there is a genuine problem on the site, it might be helpful if people could click on "report a detection problem" and say it's safe. This gets the block lifted quicker.

If anyone here has had any bad experiences of unwanted stuff trying to download/install from depositfiles recently, I'd like to know, as I'll stop using the site and try a different file host for videos.

...Fucking thing. bladewave

Yeah, I've been using adblock's block element feature on those spammy fuckers, some of them are weird. They are also having a problem where when you click on the captcha box, you sometimes get an unwanted new tab, so they need to sort it out sharpish Rolleyes

When will sites learn that intrusive adverts drive away customers, the money they may make from them is not worth losing customers.

Yes I've noticed this the last few times I've used the site - either the new unwanted tab pops up straightaway, or my anti-virus seems to go into overdrive "fighting it off" so that the screen freezes for a while and doesn't let me type in the captcha box for a minute or so.

Downloaded a file yesterday (or was it the day before?), and it was fine, but now I'm getting:

Not checked since the weekend but it appears to be back to normal.

Google Transparency Report, Safe Browsing Site Status.

Current status: Not dangerous.

Depositfiles have added a load of pop-up ads that appear upon clicking the 'choose file' button to upload.

Didn't happen yesterday, or any time that I remember before. Shitty ad networks. bladewave
