Ever wondered why on MGS5 certain missions are a lot harder namely not being able to do head shots as enemies are wearing helmets or body amour or using flash lights, there's a way around it using your combat troops at motherbase send them out on combat missions theses can range from taking out enemies from supplying helmets, body amour, flash lights etc etc which then affect your missions so the enemies don't have these items making your missions easier.
To get S ranks it's on a mixture of things, depending on how fast you do the missions, not being spotted and also not using the reflex mode all these will help in getting a S rank.
