The name might not be familiar but I remember him commentating and presenting the Wimbledon highlights show with Des Lynam in the 80's.

His journalistic career lasted more than half a century. He worked in newspapers for many years and was originally a football reporter (I first remember him as a football commentator on The Big Match for the old Southern ITV region), and later covered rugby on BBC Radio, although he became best known for tennis and it was his ten-year Wimbledon double act with Des Lynam that gave him his biggest exposure.

He moved to SKY but had to retire from commentating due to failing eyesight.
