Car advise - JonnyBgood - 21-02-2016 19:57 My car has taken a bump and being a 15y/o motor not worth repairing but being as it has been so long since I brought a new car, I wondered what the best thing to do is. I need now a good reliable engine so don't want to get an older car that's clockddup miles on it already. Is it worth getting one of these new cars on finance? Or just pick a second hand car that's a few years old. What are the pros and cons. I am really stuck and any advise would be immense. It's so daunting getting a new set of wheels and things have moved on since I last got one. RE: car advise - tee - 21-02-2016 22:25 My advise is get a Japanese car like Toyota and Honda. These cars are seriously reliable and run for ever. It's worth getting a second hand. Stay away from the Vauxhalls, fiat, Citroen etc. Go for a Diesel engine with a turbo. You shud be fine RE: car advise - wackawoo - 21-02-2016 22:50 Personally, I'd get an Audi A4 B5 deisel, might be a few years old, but if you get a low milage one ( 90 - 130K)that has recently had a good service and most importantly all the belts (cam etc) replaced, you can get a fantastic car for under grand, will always be reliable, do 50 odd to the gallon and will last you years. These cars are capable of doing 300k. RE: car advise - jozefbloggz - 21-02-2016 23:33 buy nearly new.eg,about 1 year old, that way some other guy has taken the BIG hit on depreciation RE: Car advise - cwpussylover - 22-02-2016 16:46 look at some of the lease deals....working out the depreciation you would lose on buying new they seem better value than say buying new every 2 years. No big bills as car under warranty, road tax usually zero as its latest engines...better fuel economy so savings on monthly fuel bills, no mot bills. Will depend on your mileage you do...and if you can claim it back on tax it will be hard to beat this way. ![]() RE: Car advise - wackawoo - 22-02-2016 18:12 Woah ![]() RE: Car advise - cwpussylover - 22-02-2016 18:45 (22-02-2016 18:12 )wackawoo Wrote: Woah was going to say get plastic seats to make sure the piss n spunk comes off easy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Car advise - wackawoo - 22-02-2016 19:00 Back on track. ![]() RE: Car advise - cwpussylover - 22-02-2016 19:22 (22-02-2016 19:00 )wackawoo Wrote: Back on track. and of course most important a dildo shaped gearstick ![]() ![]() RE: Car advise - Clit Eastwood - 22-02-2016 19:54 Just got an i20 13 plate...still under warranty till 2018. Only done 11k miles !! 140 a month after 500 quid deposit. I'll part chop it just before the warranty runs out. Probably an i30. I'll never risk getting a car from anywhere except a garage from now on. Sick of worrying what would go wrong with my old car. |
