Plea for a Hangover cure - mrwotzup - 01-05-2009 07:16 Having drunk far too much last night I am now suffering the consequences.I am now the proud owner of possible the worst hangover in the History of the World .I dont exaggerate I'm a Man who is ill. Whilst you may say "it was self inflicted" and " its your own fault" and you would be right but it doesnt end my suffering. Especially as the local Council have decided to dig up the road outside my house. Why today of all days!!!!!!!! So would some kind soul have some compassion and suggest a cure. Hopefully which has worked for them (but with no mention of raw eggs) I have now sworn never to drink again, at least not until tonight Groan why is every thing so loud, please tap those keyboards quietly. Thanks RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - Ducky - 01-05-2009 07:26 being extra dehydrated shrinks your brain and so the nerve endings attached to your skull are being stretched. thats what causes the pain so badly. Water! as much as you can mate! Grow your brain, shrink the pain RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - firekind - 01-05-2009 07:30 is that right? thats why it throbs RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - flavid - 01-05-2009 13:03 mrwotzup Wrote:Having drunk far too much last night I am now suffering the consequences.I am now the proud owner of possible the worst hangover in the History of the World .I dont exaggerate I'm a Man who is ill. hair of the dog RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - SOCATOA - 01-05-2009 13:10 If you have an electric cooker put all the rings on full. Now sit on the top of the cooker for 30 seconds. your arse will now be so sore you wont even notice your hangover now. On the other hand try water and asprin. Hope this helps RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - ǝʌɐʍǝpɐןq - 01-05-2009 14:12 Try some raw eggs. RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - mrwotzup - 01-05-2009 14:13 Thanks for all the useful advice (Haha) Just got back from the Pub, had couple of Pints Feel Great Lol RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - Mister Gummidge - 02-05-2009 07:36 For rehydration, I recommend Lucozade Sport (or the isotonic rehydration beverage of your choice) combined with a pain killer to dull the nerve endings. Also, make sure to put something on your stomach to compensate for the loss of nutrients associated with the dehydration. Something with a moderately high salt content is best; I favour the old stand-by of a bacon buttie. Once your stomach has settled slightly, take something sweet in order to provide an instant hit of sugar. A banana is probably the healthiest choice, but I recommend a jam doughnut RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - mrwotzup - 02-05-2009 07:58 mr gummidge Wrote:For rehydration, I recommend Lucozade Sport (or the isotonic rehydration beverage of your choice) combined with a pain killer to dull the nerve endings. Being a Veggie I`ll pass on the bacon buttie though(lol) RE: Plea for a Hangover cure - Mister Gummidge - 02-05-2009 08:13 Bacon and mushroom butty, then. Hold the bacon... |
