Eagerly awaiting this release (November)
Project Cars is good, but lacks the size and finesse of Gran Turismo.

I too cannot wait for the release, one of a couple titles that made me want to switch onto the PS4.

So, 137 cars on release all broken down into four categories :

• Street legal
• Race modified road cars
• Race-ready supercars
• Purpose built track cars

* Some cars will be concept.

19 tracks available (including the return of BrandsHatch Tongue) with 37 different layouts.

Many thanks for that link Kalel Smile

The general feel for the driving dynamics is very Gran Turismo, worlds appart from the likes of Project Cars which for me is a good thing because I love the GT series.
Obviously with this only being the Beta the game is very limited, but the general layout of the menus etc is also very polished as you'd expect from GT.
The graphics are as good as you'd expect, very glossy and well detailed.
The HUD and level of information available whilst on track is very impressive and easy to read, which instantly gives this game an edge over Project Cars because that game seriously lacked in this department and has always irritated me.
The audio effects seem to have improved also, which the GT series has always been criticised for in the past.
I'm holding off on commenting about the amount of options available because many of them are locked within the Beta and unavailable, so we shall have to wait and see.

But overall a very impressive attempt and I very much look forward to the official release Smile

Really wish I got to have played this but no code.

RE: Gran Turismo Sport - Bandwagon - 07-07-2017 07:37

It was quite limited anyway to be honest, but you could get a general feel for the game if nothing else.
I have been playing both GT Sport Beta and Project CARS in close proximity, with the deliberate intention of testing one out against the other. PC is definitely the harder game (no aids other than ABS on both) over GT Sport which has a more forgiving arcade feeling to it.
Of course, this is a comparison between an old game and a new, so I'm very interested to see what PC2 will feel like and what it will ultimately include.
At the moment it's looking like a serious contender for the 2017 driving simulator crown.
It's still early days yet, so let's wait and see, but I will be picking up both games once they arrive.

For me I'll be looking for:

Game Layout
Graphics/fine details/ease of menu/overall finish.

Driving Physics
A general feel of realism, as opposed to weird unrealistic characteristics.

Options
I would like to see as many options as possible.
Keep it simple on the surface for casual users, but include drop down menus of great depth for users further interested in fine tuning their game for that custom game experience.

A four day demo is being released for all PS4 owners on the 9th of October.
