Just seen that Sir Anthony Jay Co writer of Yes Minister and Yes Prime minister has died aged 86

Just watching now on BBC 2 where they are showing it again in the afternoon and its as much relevent today as it was in the late 70's and 80's

These series were classics and dont age at all and they were beautifully acted.

He was the more right-wing, whereas Jonathan Lynn was left-wing. But this syntheseis created a true classic sitcom, great scripts working with a stupendous cast. The rehash versions don't cut the mustard.

Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister remain my favourite sitcoms of all time even now.
Brilliantly written, superb cast and as HP said still seems relevant .

Will always be relevant - one of the best political satires ever!! As Snookered said brilliantly written and acted RIP
