I will share this pic with you, it has never been seen anywhere yet. Not my pic but Pauls & he's my boss at xintense.
'Piece of Cake'

This is the legend Ray Hanna, Paul worked a lot shooting pics for different programmes over the years with Ray & we have a lot of plane pics & the original of this is 5meg. Sorry the one posted is small, but this avoids publication. I never met him.

He could fly the Spitfire at just 9feet off the ground & maintain that.

This image has never been seen before & I know some of you must love planes so I have posted this thread.

That was the legend Ray Hanna, former leader & founder of the Red Arrows & no doubt very much missed on the flying warbird circuit. RIP.

The reporter was Alan DeCadenet, Father of Amanda.

I'm not really into planes. But that's pretty impressive.

Wow, Respect
Ive seen the Red Arrows several times and am totally in awe.
I have also seen the Spitfire many many times , inflight and on the ground. Totally inspiring. we sometimes forget the debt we owe to "The Few". the Pilots of the Spitfires,Hurricanes etc and thier support crews ,air defence etc. I think we forget past sacrifice too easily these days. These Pilots,Ground Crew, etc were either not as old or not much older than some/most members of this forum.
Respect

RIP Ray Hanna

I'm glad it did & thank you for the replies.

I'll sort some other threads out now & again along these lines but in the mean time I'll post some porn too as thats what the majority want ;-)

But I'm glad I made a few peoples day with this post & thanks to the 4 people that PM'd me & I have replied.

RE: Ray Hanna - Kelly Bell - 07-05-2009 09:51

I have seen that pic & used to go to airshows a lot. I come from Aldershot & went to the Farnborough airshow a few times, I now live in Lincolnshire near several RAF airbases & see many planes regularly.

Those clips gave me goosebumps!
