R.I.P Walter Swinburn - Snooks - 12-12-2016 20:11
Jockey, Walter Swinburn has died at the age of 55 it has been announced.
A multiple winner of many major races such as The 1000 Guineas, 2000 Guineas, The Oaks and the Prix de L'arc de Triomphe.
But he will be best remembered for his victorious ride on Shergar in the 1981 Derby.
He would go on to be a 3 time winner of The Derby in his glittering career.
Will be sadly missed.

Wow the inquest into his death has said he fell 12ft from his bathroom window onto a courtyard. not sure if it was epilepsy attack that caused him to fall
