Just seen on twitter that the Journalist Liz mackean has died aged 51 of a stroke.
She was the Newsnight journalist that broke the Jimmy Saville Story but the producers pulled the plug on her work which led to the scandal

Newsnight, and the BBC at large, can't afford to lose people of this calibre for any reason.RIP
