Just seen that the Boxer Jake La Motta has died aged 96
The Real Raging Bull was played by Di Nero in raging bull

Have to say the amount of punnishment he took in the ring 96 was a very good age

Totally agree Remember though that Boxing was totally different back then to what it is now
A member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, LaMotta fought professionally from 1941-54 and had a record of 83 wins, 19 losses and 4 draws, with 30 knockouts and was put down on the canvas once in his carrer.
A six fight series rivalry with Sugar Ray Robinson which would probably be unthinkable now and he only won one and won the World Middleweight title in 1949
Will always be regarded as one of the al time true great middleweights
The Scoerse film "Raging Bull" based on his memoir will stand the test and be regarded as one the greatest boxing films ever made
