'Dangerous' upload site? - modelflat - 26-03-2018 07:32 Have you ever heard of AdFly? Apparently Norton has labelled it an unsafe site. (Guy's uploads are all under different site names, but all lead to AdFly.) http://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=72567 Please advise RE: 'Dangerous' upload site? - lovebabes56 - 26-03-2018 08:01 Have encountered it a lot over the years RE: 'Dangerous' upload site? - munch1917 - 26-03-2018 14:33 adfly is a url link shortener that redirects you via an advert to your final destination. I believe people earn money from the views on the ads, hence many people have used it over the years to monetize their links/downloads. Unfortunately, there are a lot of 'malicious' ads out there doing potentially bad things to your pc, and sites like this don't seem particular strict about vetting them, so have become blacklisted by their association. For what it's worth, I tried a few of the links on that thread, and all got redirected just fine for me, (no sign of adfly, which is blocked on my setup). I don't think there's any hard and fast rule about use of redirectors, or particular filehosts to use here, but personally, I would be happy to see this kind of thing banned from here, for the safety and security of everyone. RE: 'Dangerous' upload site? - skully - 26-03-2018 14:48 I'll look into it. RE: 'Dangerous' upload site? - munch1917 - 26-03-2018 15:16 Several of the links I tried went to openload, a filehosting site. If the poster is able to upload onto openload, why not just post the openload link here for people to download from, no redirection needed RE: 'Dangerous' upload site? - Censorship :-( - 26-03-2018 15:56 FWIW, like munch1917, when I tried some of the links, they either went straight to the vids (no AdFly), or to Openload. RE: 'Dangerous' upload site? - skully - 26-03-2018 16:07 If it's a viable option for the poster to use openload, then yeah, it would be better. The reason given in the thread was it was due to where the poster is from. I don't know what the deal is with that (we're looking into it), but hopefully that or another site will be suitable. We block money making sites anyway, as it encourages posting to cash in clicks, which shouldn't be why people share content. Also, we don't want people spamming for money, which probably isn't the case in this instance, but still, ''the host(s)'' will likely be getting filtered. RE: 'Dangerous' upload site? - modelflat - 12-04-2019 04:07 The same poster Kamel is back - this time the site's called dwindly.io https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=5838&pid=2291695#pid2291695 (09-04-2019 22:34 )DB83 Wrote: Two issues. |
