Not just a sad day for politics but a sad day for inspirational people as well as she was the pioneer behind Surestart who's political motivation was to ensure all children had the love,care & attention to get on in life.
And whilst Politician's aren't always held in the highest esteem among the public there are some that are there for the force of good (among some who are there to serve their own interest/feather their own nests) & Tessa was a conviction politician who was one of the good ones.
RIP Tessa.
