John Bluthall - GMach1 - 18-11-2018 19:04

Actor from The Vicar of Dibley(Frank Pickle) and a sidekick to the late Spike Milligan, John Bluthall has died at the age of 83 (15th Nov) He was also the voice of Commander Zero in 'Fireball XL5' the Gerry Anderson space series of the 60's. He was also in many films mostly cameos but always in a comedic role(you may recall the Pisa Model seller in Superman III where Superman makes amends for straightening it up, putting it back at a lean-the models he had were straight and in the end he takes a broom to them, smashing them to bits in annoyance.)

He was also a sidekick to Spike Milligan, usually dissolving into laughter alongside Spike but his most famous impression was of the historian Huge Weldon(Hugh) which was spot on. Later he was more famous for his role in comedy series 'The Vicar of Dibley' as mentioned above. He also rather bizarrely took a role as an Italian taxi driver Enzo Pacelli in the very short-lived Australia comedy series(only 2 episodes made!) 'Home Sweet Home' which was loosely a remake of British classic 'Bless This House.'
