What a great build up to a World Cup for England's Lionesses - beaten 1-0 by New Zealand!! Play like that against top opposition and it will more like lambs to the slaughter!

That reminds me of an old Alas Smith and Jones sketch where Mel Smith drags Griff Rhys-Jones off to a football match with women playing. He can't see the point but towards the end Mel says to Griff "well this is an international match and what happens at the end of the match normally? they swap shirts!" Cue end of match whistle and women seen pulling up their tops to reveal bras and a lot of boobs! We've come a long way since those days when women's football was seen as a joke or just a silly pastime haven't we? Was it not Hope Solo of the USA who took her top off when the US won the World Cup a few years ago and later posed for Pboy? Probably wouldn't happen again but there are some hot looking girls playing these days so who knows. Smile

Yet another disallowed goal thanks to VAR. This was simular to the disallowed England goal last night.

Should the rule be about the foot being in front of the defender or the torso.

I thought the law was the furthest forward part of the body with which a player can legally score with. So if the foot is furthest forward, they count that as whether a player is offside or not. Same if the head or torso was the furthest forward. Don#t quote me on that though.

This could be a bloodbath, the South Koreans are being beaten in the air every time, they haven't got any one taller to try and match the French attackers.

Such a shame that that goal was ruled offside because it was a quality finish from a well worked corner

What an awful penalty decision in England v Scotland game.It means you can just kick the ball at the arm of the defender and it is a penalty
