Advice on recording channels to hard drive on laptop please - Kevin555 - 13-08-2019 16:35 Hi If I go to the stations website and wish to record the particular show, if there any easy way, e.g software which will allow me to record the show, for my own use. Some time ago, PC World did have software to allow screen recording at the click of a mouse but when I last visited it was no longer in stock and the staff found my request difficult to understand. Any help would be appreciated RE: Advice on recording channels to hard drive on laptop please - Sm© - 13-08-2019 17:07 I use Replay Media Catcher 7, i payed for it but you can find cracked versions with serial numbers on torrent sites. Old post I know but Ive been trying replay media catcher 7 for the past couple of hours with no joy trying to get a studio66 broadcast. I used to save livestreams a few years back and it was as simple as clicking the download button on IDM, has something changed? RE: Advice on recording channels to hard drive on laptop please - FanofCamilla - 04-11-2019 23:39 media catcher still works, open it up, switch the auto to on (it'll go green) and then start the stream playing and it'll detect it and download. i find for both S66 and BS it'll detect and download 2 streams simultaneously, but the first one tends to fail pretty quickly and the 2nd keeps going. You just need to keep an eye on it, cause if they decide to reset the streams at the studio end, the recording will fail. Cheers I've managed to get it working today by exiting it a few times of all things, just been testing it out and it was capturing fine but guessing you've got to stop the download before the broadcast ends? It finished without me realizing and turned into an error and wiped the vid to 0 bytes I've noticed they seem to failed around every 5 minutes for me is this normal? seen people post long caps up on here so it's got me baffled Actually logging in to studio66 seems to have fixed this problem ( touch wood ) it must do an age verification every so often or something, I'm a moron lol RE: Advice on recording channels to hard drive on laptop please - iluvcathy - 12-10-2020 18:15 (05-11-2019 11:28 )kickycrowbar Wrote: I've noticed they seem to failed around every 5 minutes for me is this normal? seen people post long caps up on here so it's got me baffled If it is any help I record the channels using VLC player, and when I start recording S66 the stream will stop after about 5mins but not always. All I do is simply get a new link and restart it, the stream normally carries on for a lot longer. Hope that information is helpful to you, even if it is nearly a year later RE: Advice on recording channels to hard drive on laptop please - Bondless - 18-11-2020 18:30 Can someone PM me about what I can use to record streams? They seem to have changed it up today and nothing seems to work for me. RE: Advice on recording channels to hard drive on laptop please - Sm© - 18-11-2020 18:37 ^^ Im in the same boat, without Flash support my recording software doesn't recognise any of the streams.
