Mine was making a barbecue area in the back garden, grabbing an egg poacher(I wanted to cook a poached egg to go with my already cooked baked beans) and managing to melt the poaching holder(plastic) because I had forgotten you are supposed to put water in the bottom of the pan first! DOH!
Did you do anything that silly or maybe even sillier than that-confess now brother!

On holiday at Butlins Pwllheli in May 1978 (I was 12) the chalets had those kettles which whistled when the water was boiling. Yours truly boiled the kettle without checking to see if there was water in it.
The kettle base melted all over the cooker ring!
Lighting a banger (firework) on a crotchety arsed neighbour’s window sill then legging it...the bang was like a bomb going off...that was in 1975...Looking back I can’t believe that I was allowed to buy a bag of bangers at the age of 9.
