AN ABSOLUTE Legend
His World Cup excursions with the Republic of Ireland are the stuff of legends and another member of England 1966 has gone. Remember that smile in the world Cup I think it was 1990 when Bonner saved a penalty. Also remember his touchline row in 1994 in trying to get John Aldridge on I think that's been the only time I'd seen him lose his cool on the touchline but a true giant of the game and will be sorely missed on both sides of the Irish Sea

RIP Big Jack and thank you for the wonderful soccer memories

A one-club man, 23 years at Leeds United, with a record 773 appearances. He also scored 96 goals making him the 9th highest scorer in club history.

RIP Jack

It may be the season we get promoted but 3 club greats dead within a few months is devastating. Jack was a giant of a man with a giant personality. Such a sad loss

Jack was one big character.
He's the most unlikely manager that Ireland could ever have.
He was the rock that Ramsey built his England World team

Another of the legendary boys of 66 sadly gone.

RIP Jack

A one club playing legend with Leeds United; the rock on which England's only World Cup win was built and a manager who achieved miracles with the Republic of Ireland. Enough said, really.

RIP Big Jack. Sad
