Really sad news, an absolute legend of an actor. Countless memorable performances throughout an outstanding acting career. Imo, the best Bond and although other actors have filled the shoes of Bond and been a success in the role, it was always Sean Connery that I remember as the ultimate Bond - RIP

Och Hoots the No Sad

90's an amazing age. Always a hugely watchable actor in films from The Man Who Would Be King to Robin And Marian to The Anderson Tapes to many more. No more jokes about yellow feathers either.

RIP Sad

The man that took down an enemy aircraft using only an umbrella.

RIP

I always believed that his best performance was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He played Indiana's father Professor Henry Jones.

Professor Henry Jones "Junior"
Indiana Jones " I prefer Indiana"
Professor Henry Jones " We named the dog Indiana"
Sallah " You are named after the dog"
Indiana Jones "I have fond memories of that dog".

He'll always stick in my mind as the charismatic Ramirez in Highlander and it's not so good sequel. I believe the only character he played more than once after Bond.

And Outland was an underrated space version of High Noon.

R.I.P. to one of the greats

RIP Sir Sean
90 is a remarkable age

Wasn't "The Untouchables" his only Oscar Nomination? Echoing TB's comment, the original and best Bond & his dry wit in the role. Think when he did Never Say Never Again, maybe there was a little bit of that spark of his early Bond roles missing but was still watchable.

Thank you Sir Sean for bringing Ian Fleming's creation to life.
