A bloody good player as well, a regular in the Ryder Cup, & 31 professional victories. Came out with some hilarious stuff behind the mic, a funny bloke. It is said that he helped Sean Connery with his game, for the famous scene in Goldfinger. RIP Legend RE: Peter Alliss RIP - Snooks - 06-12-2020 13:31 One of the best ever commentators in sport. An total legend and THE voice of Golf. R.I.P ![]() ![]() Too true RE: Peter Alliss RIP - lovebabes56 - 06-12-2020 13:34 played in and commentated on the 1961 Open RE: Peter Alliss RIP - Tractor boy - 06-12-2020 14:13 One of the best commentators in sport. Very knowledgeable, but also very funny. RIP Peter. RE: Peter Alliss RIP - mikedafc - 06-12-2020 16:05 Shocked to hear this as he commented at the Masters tournament just a shot time ago RE: Peter Alliss RIP - lovebabes56 - 06-12-2020 16:25 I believe he was very prolific in the Ryder Cup, and I think golf has lost it's best ambbassador annd one of it's true voices. Golf won't seem the same on the TV without his voice. Hope the BBC will honour him in some way at the awards. RE: Peter Alliss RIP - littlebig - 06-12-2020 17:17 Peter was the voice of golf R.I.P Sir. |
