RIP Robin Jackman - Boomerangutangangbang - 26-12-2020 12:36

Former England & Surrey seamer Robin Jackman, has died at the age of 75.
He played 4 Test Matches, taking 14 wickets, with a best of 4-114 & 15 ODI's.
In a first-class career, including 16 years at Surrey, he had 1,402 dismissals. Also, a long-time team-mate of John Edrich, who has also passed.
The time he spent as a writer & coach in Apartheid South Africa, famously led to an England Test match in the West Indies being cancelled, as the Guyana government withheld his visa & England decided not to play.
He became a well respected commentator in South Africa when his playing career ended.

CriCket losing admirable in 24 hours...

Jackman was a exceptional player and I think he deserved far more Test Matches than he actually played.

He wasn't the biggest fast bowler ever, and he wasn't the quickest.
But he had the ability to bowl wicket to wicket and he always managed to get lots of LBW's.

He was also useful with the bat.
R.I.P Robin
