Starting Mega - Chrisst - 31-12-2020 14:19 Well I'm surprised. I loath starting something new on the computer. At work every time some sundry manager says he's going to zoom or team or skype or what have you in an hour or so it's an urgent call to the IT department because my tablet or my new phone won't let it happen because of security or being too full or whatever it is this time. At home it's a matter of numerous attempts writing in the search box and taking your pick of a thousand options. Then there's the minefield of passwords. I'm not securing the keys to the Tower Of London. It's my password so IT IS BLOODY SECURE ENOUGH. This morning I've bitten the bullitt and joined a video file sharer. I chose Mega because it's being used by several of us, when I click on it I can watch their videos without any fuss. So I typed Mega Video Hosting and pressed enter. The official site was displayed at the top of the list. I filled in my name and email address. I was informed that my password wasn't strong enough but with a minor modification it was. I pressed to download and even with my dodgy internet I was able to use it in a minute. 50 megabits for free. The page displayed no pop up advertising. Even though my recorded videos were in an old hard drive I was able to select them simply and they loaded in seconds, their titles were retained and when trying to upload them to my post on here it was just the same as copy and paste a picture. I was able to increase the size of the video by altering the digets in the text without isssue. My three videos weigh in at less than six minutes and I didn't try to cap them from a live broadcast as they had survived for years whereas the original host hadn't. Maybe I'll try to cap in the future. On this experience I would recommend this service. |
