Just saw the sad news that Cliff Simon, the actor who played Ba'al in Stargate SG1, has died in an accident. He was 58.

He was the most likeable bad guy in SG1, he was charismatic and I was always happy to see him. RIP

I doubt they could resurrect SG 1 without him - his boots would be pretty big to fill and difficult act to follow as well
